Welcome to Muscogee County School District! For all Parents/Guardians of home schooled students who plan to return to public education in Muscogee County School District, please follow the process below:
- During the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, report to Muscogee County Public Education Center located at 2960 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31906, with 2 forms of address verification, Affidavit (if applicable), and complete the Returning to Public School Form (link provided below). Further Student Registration requirements/documents accepted are located under the “For Parents” tab at the top of this page.
- Upon completion of these forms, Central Registration Office will forward your information to Ms. Veronica Collins’ office. Upon receipt, Ms. Collins’ office will contact the parent/guardian regarding transcripts/records.
- After transcripts/records have been received and reviewed, Ms. Collins’ office will contact the parent/guardian to schedule an appointment to discuss grade placement.
- After grade placement has been determined, Ms. Collins will forward documentation to the Principal of the school of assignment. The parent/guardian will take the final assignment paperwork from the meeting directly to the school of assignment to complete the enrollment process.
****If your child/children are enrolled in Georgia Cyber Academy, Georgia Connections Academy, or Provost Academy your child/children are NOT considered home school students. These are state board approved on-line charter schools. ****
