The Department of Instructional Technology (DoIT) is comprised of a team of technicians who provide support for training facilities on several campuses, an administrative assistant, and a group of former classroom teachers who are masters at authentically and appropriately embedding technology into teaching and learning. Each school is assigned an Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) to guide teachers in their efforts to transform student learning by providing customized instructional support and the best technology instructional practices.

The ITS Team also provides District professional learning focused on effective implementation of the technology teachers have available in their classrooms. Teachers participating in this professional development have demonstrated innovative uses of that technology and increased student engagement. The ITS Team is dedicated to remaining current with emerging best practices in instructional technology and sharing their knowledge and expertise with colleagues throughout the District.
