Personalized Learning

General Information

There are many versions, opinions, and definitions of Personalized Learning in the field of education. In Muscogee County, we have personalized the definition of Personalized Learning to better fit our teachers and our students to align with our District values and visions.

Therefore, 

The MCSD defines Personalized Learning as the focused aim of aligning the learning process to student needs, interests, and strengths so that our learners are inspired and equipped to achieve their unlimited potential. Planning and instruction should foster student voice, choice, engagement, motivation, ownership, purpose, and self-efficacy through continued and frequent teacher and student goal-setting, progress monitoring, and reflection. 

Everything we do in Personalized Learning is aimed at living up to this definition in our teaching and learning, which we believe will directly affect the fulfillment of our District’s mission of inspiring and equipping all students to achieve unlimited potential.
