Academic Competitions And Recognitions - Young Citizen Award

Each year, the Exchange Club of Columbus awards an eighth grader from each MCSD middle school with the title of "Young Citizen." The purpose of this yearly award is to recognize one student from each middle school who demonstrates that he/she is caring, cooperative, helpful at home and school, self-motivated, shows leadership potential, and always does his/her best.

Emphasis is on respect, responsibility, and resourcefulness. The student receives recognition and a certificate.

A luncheon program is held to honor the student at the Saint Luke Ministry Center.
