Mission

The mission of the Department of Communications is to Keep PACE (Proactive Administration of Communications in Education) by providing: Pro-active, informative, accurate, and timely responses to its stakeholders on issues, activities, special events, and education resources in the Muscogee County School District.

Vision

The Department of Communications, in accordance with the mission, vision and strategic plan of the Muscogee County School District, seeks to promote student and district news and achievements, using a variety of innovative formats and resources while developing opportunities to strengthen and enhance the image of the school district with truth and an open line of communications.

Information and Trust

The Muscogee County School District respects the public and its interest in our vibrant school district and community of learning. Guidelines for communications are designed to be responsive to requests for freedom of access while streamlining the internal and external communications process, while also minimizing disruption of the educational process, ensuring the safety, rights, and respect of our children and employees.

The Director of Communications serves as the central contact and spokesperson for the school district for media inquiries, open record requests, crisis communications, district administrator of the Connect-ED telephone messaging system, and a resource for strategic counsel on communications plans for the school district.
