Welcome to Muscogee County School District - For all Parents/Guardians of home schooled students who plan to return to public education in Muscogee County School District, please follow the process below:
* During the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, report to Muscogee County Public Education Center located at 2960 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31906, with 2 forms of address verification, Affidavit (if applicable), and complete the Returning to Public School Form. Please visit Student Registration link within the MCSD web site regarding specific requirements/documents that are accepted for Student Registration/address verification.
* Upon completion of these forms, Central Registration Office will forward your information to the Chief Academic Officer's office. Upon receipt, the Chief Academic Officer's office will contact the parent/guardian regarding transcripts/records for review. Please note that a meeting and/or testing may be required before grade placement cab be finalized.
* After grade placement has been determined, the Chief Academic Officer or designee will forward documentation to the Principal of the school of assignment.
****If your child/children are enrolled in Georgia Cyber Academy, Georgia Connections Academy, or Provost Academy your child/children are NOT considered home school students. These are state board approved on-line charter schools. Students attending these schools do not need to complete the process with the Chief Academic Officer's office. ****
